Food Pantry

Westside Pantry
9:00 to 10:30 AM the third Tuesday in February and March. Beginning in April our pantry will be on the third Saturday of each month.

Westside partners with the East Texas Food Bank of Tyler, TX to provide a box of food to low income families in the community.
One must provide an ID with name and address such as DL or utility bill, Dr. bill, etc.
Food Bank also requires a form to be completed and signed. This form is completed the first time the person comes to the pantry.
Usually about 200 families show up for “Pantry Day.” (Sometimes standing in lines and waiting patiently to register. More than 400 individuals benefit from this ministry every month)
This ministry is under the direction of Steve McIntosh and Mark & Nadara Sperry. A team of more the 30 volunteers work together to prepare for Pantry Day, doing inventory, ordering food items, unloading items when they arrive, filling boxes to be given away and working the day of the event. Westside has been involved in the pantry ministry for over 15 years. In the past 7 years, Westside has purchased and distributed more than 350,000 pounds of food in the name of Jesus.
